The spirit of strategy, concentration, and sportsmanship came alive at St. Jude's School during the much-awaited Inter House Chess Competition held in the month of May. The Event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Students across all Houses, showcasing not only their intellectual abilities but also their determination and team spirit. The Competition for Senior Boys and Girls commenced on 11th May, while the Junior Boys and Girls category began on 14th May. Each Category continued for Three exciting days, making the Championship a thrilling Six-Day Event filled with intense Matches and remarkable performances. Every House Team consisted of Four Players in each category - Two Boys and Two Girls - ensuring balanced participation and encouraging teamwork among Students. The Tournament provided an excellent platform for young Chess enthusiasts to display their tactical skills, patience, and analytical thinking. Throughout the Competition, Participants demonstrated exceptional focus and discipline, making every round highly competitive and engaging. Students from all Houses competed with great enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of healthy rivalry and mutual respect. The Matches were closely contested, with players carefully planning strategies and making thoughtful moves on the board. Spectators and Teachers alike appreciated the level of talent and sportsmanship displayed by the Participants. After six days of challenging encounters and strategic battles, Lyons House emerged as the Overall Champion with an impressive total of 28 points. Khanna House secured the second position with 24 points after giving a strong performance throughout the Tournament. The Inter House Chess Competition proved to be a grand success, encouraging Students to develop critical thinking, decision-making, and perseverance. The School congratulates all Participants for their commendable efforts and applauds the Winners for their outstanding achievement.
