Investiture Ceremony: A Celebration of Leadership and Responsibility
The Investiture Ceremony of St. Jude’s School was held with great enthusiasm and dignity on Saturday, the 9th of May 2026 marking the formal appointment of the newly elected Student Council for the Academic Session. The occasion symbolized trust, responsibility and the nurturing of leadership qualities among Students. The Investiture Ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed Principal, Teachers, and proud Parents. The School choir set a serene tone with a melodious invocation. The highlight of the Event was the conferring of the Badges and Ties to the newly elected members of the Student Council, including the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and Prefects of the Four Houses. As each leader stepped forward to receive their insignia, a sense of pride and commitment was evident in their demeanour. Administering the Oath, the Principal urged the young leaders to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and dedication. The council members pledged to discharge their duties sincerely and to serve as role models for their peers. In her address, the Principal emphasized that leadership is not about authority, but about service and responsibility. She encouraged the Students to lead by example and to contribute positively to the School community. Our world needs leaders with hope - young people who still believe in goodness, honesty, courage and humanity. The Ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired and confident in the capabilities of the new Student leaders. The Investiture Ceremony was not just a formal event, but a meaningful step towards shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.
