Empowering Young Voices: St. Jude’s School Triumphs at CII Youth Parliament On Monday, the 3rd of August, 2026 - The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the Young Indians’ Parliament (City Round) at the Nagar Nigam Town Hall, bringing together Students from twelve leading Dehradun Schools. The Parliament focused on a timely and critical theme: Uttarakhand Ethanol Blending & Bio-Energy Strategy: E20 Mandate & Clean Transition Bill, 2026. Participants debated the merits and challenges of renewable energy, exploring key issues like food security, vehicle compatibility and transition costs. St. Jude’s School was represented by an enthusiastic 11-member delegation: Hifza Naaz, Saanvi Rawat, Nidhi Rawat, Parth Semwal, Virendra Singh, Anshuman Mishra, Fatima Ansari, Kanishka Chauhan, Khushleen Kaur, Aanya Tripathi and Atharv Sethi. Kanishka Chauhan was unanimously elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Youth Parliament, guiding the day's proceedings with composure. Aanya Tripathi earned the Most Persuasive Parliamentarian Trophy for her articulate arguments and compelling presence. Chief Guest Shri Khajan Dass (Cabinet Minister) and Guest of Honour Shri Vishwas Dawar (Vice Chairman, Uttarakhand Infrastructure Monitoring Council) commended the youth for their active civic engagement and leadership. The Event offered Students a hands-on lesson in democratic debate, critical thinking and public policy, marking a proud moment of achievement and growth for St. Jude’s School.
