When Words Came Alive Inter-Class English Elocution Competition for Classes 3 to 5 Every poem has a story to tell, and every voice has a story to share. Poetry recitation is the art of presenting a poem aloud with clarity, expression, rhythm, voice modulation and appropriate gestures. It is not merely about memorising verses; it is about understanding a poem and bringing its words to life. Regular participation in poetry recitation helps Students develop confidence, communication skills, pronunciation, listening skills and expressive abilities, while also nurturing their appreciation for Language and Literature. The magic of Poetry came alive at St. Jude’s School as the Inter-Class English Elocution Competition for Classes 3 to 5 was held on the 25th of September 2026. The Competition provided the Students with a wonderful platform to express themselves through the beauty, rhythm and emotions of poetry. This year, the Students explored three engaging Themes. Class 3 recited poems on Healthy Habits. They shared cheerful and meaningful verses about staying fit, eating well and making healthy choices. Class 4 transported the audience into magical World through poems based on Adventure and Fantasy. Class 5 celebrated the beauty and mystery of the World with poems on Wonders of the World Around Us, encouraging everyone to pause and appreciate the fascinating World we live in. The Competition was a delightful celebration of language, imagination and self-expression. More importantly, it encouraged the Students to step onto the stage with confidence and discover the joy of sharing their voices with others. The encouraging presence of the Judges added to the spirit of the Competition and motivated the Participants to give their best.
