Science Exhibition: Celebrating Curiosity, Creativity and Scientific Temper A Science Exhibition was organised at St. Jude’s School on the 19th of September 2026 for Students of Classes 9 to 12. The Exhibition received an overwhelming response, with nearly 50 innovative setups presented by enthusiastic Students. One of the most commendable features of the Exhibition was that there was no restriction or preliminary screening of ideas. Every Student who came forward with a scientific idea was encouraged to participate. This inclusive approach provided Students with a wonderful opportunity to explore their curiosity, experiment freely and showcase their scientific aptitude. The Exhibition featured a fascinating variety of demonstrations covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Some of the notable exhibits included Movie Blood (Artificial Blood), Elephant Toothpaste, Flame Tests for Cations, Dancing Naphthalene Balls and Fingerprint Analysis. Students also demonstrated simple and practical experiments to detect food adulteration, including tests for the presence of substances such as urea and starch in milk. The exhibits reflected not only the Students' understanding of scientific concepts but also their ability to apply Classroom learning to practical situations. Their enthusiasm and confidence while explaining their experiments made the exhibition an enriching learning experience for everyone. The Exhibition was judged by Mr. Sundriyal, Senior Science Teacher from St. Thomas College. He appreciated the efforts, creativity and enthusiasm displayed by the Students. He particularly praised the idea of organising such exhibitions, highlighting that they provide Students with an opportunity to showcase their scientific aptitude, develop curiosity and cultivate a greater liking for science. The Results were as follows: Winner Exhibit: DNA Replication and Extraction Parth Semwal and Sarveshwar Singh Class XII Science B First Runners-Up Exhibit: Line Following Namit Ahluwalia Class XI Science A Second Runners-Up Exhibit: Iodine Fuming Aadarshani Thapa and Ojasvi Mishra Class XI Science B The Science Day exhibition proved to be much more than a display of models and experiments. It created a platform where students could question, explore, experiment and learn through experience. The event successfully fostered scientific thinking and demonstrated that when students are given the freedom to explore their ideas, science becomes more engaging, meaningful and enjoyable. The enthusiastic participation of the students and the appreciation received from the judge made the exhibition a memorable and successful celebration of scientific curiosity and innovation.
